Night lights

Over Labor Day weekend, my parents came up to visit. It was a good time, as always. Took them to some good restaurants, Mom and I slipped away from the guys for a while to go shoe shopping, drove allllll the way out Long Island for Macaroni Grill, only to find it ceased to exist... But one of the highlights of the trip was a Harbor Lights cruise. It left around 7, cruised down the Hudson River, past the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Staten Island, Governor's Island, and then turned up the East River past Brooklyn, going underneath the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, and just up to Queens and then turned around and did it all backwards. It was really, really neat. I wish I could've gotten better photos, but it can be a tad difficult to get photos of lights that aren't blurry when you're on a moving boat.

This one was taken by my dad on the boat

Once again, I've given up loading photos to blogger 5 at a time and backwards. Here they are on Flickr. Enjoy!

It was really a very enjoyable evening. So glad we got there early and got seats on the upper back deck. Cool temps but cool scenery and pictures too. I think you captured it ok. Definately goes on the list of things to do in new york city.
