I never started a blog before now because I just didn't see the point of writing about how my day went or who has a crush on who. And I didn't think I had much to contribute to the intellectual world, at least not through a blog. But I'm glad I started one. Should've done it sooner. Because I think having a blog makes me pay more attention to the world around me. I wander through New York on my way to work looking for things to write about as opposed to the world passing me by. Of course, this said when I haven't found anything good enough to post about in a week... But it's a good way to get the full experience — or at least a more thorough experience — of the world around me. Hopefully I'll have another epiphany to write about soon so you won't have to wait another week.

You could write about how the northerners aren't so bad after all! All those stereotypes...
Seriously, I'm glad you started a blog, too. Now you can keep us all posted on your life. It's a little closer to actually being with you than an e-mail, you know?
