Warning: You'll be jealous

My mom is awesome. But she took it to a whole new level a few years ago when she finished my quilt. See, all through high school, like a lot of you, I collected T-shirts. From band, from being a senior, whatever. But instead of wearing them, I packed them away in hopes that one day my mom would make my quilt. So on one of my recent trips home, when I totally wasn't expecting it, I walked into my bedroom, and there it was.

Most of them are from band — show shirts, flute shirts, Southern Invitational shirts (a competition we held at our school and our band just did an exhibition show) — but at least one of them is a senior shirt from high school, and the blue one on the bottom row that says Class of 2000 is actually from elementary school. The surrounding fabric she smartly chose to look like denim — like a T-shirt and jeans. Also easy to clean.

I love that she took the time and made the effort to put this together. And every time I have it out I can't help but smile. Besides the quilt being so full of memories, the fact that it even exists just reminds me how completely amazing my mom is. Love it, and can't thank her enough. Thanks again, Mom.

Okay, you guys can be jealous now.

I don't think I need to say how awesome I think your mom is... again! This is truly a very cool gift!

Class of 2000 for elementary school? What? Wasn't that the year you started college? I'm a little confused.
