Hello, 2009

Happy New Year. Hard to believe 2008 is gone, and that it's really almost been a year since we've been here. And that this blog is almost a year old, but that's another post. We move again in a month and a half. (Gotta love this nomadic lifestyle.) Actually, our new place is just down the block from our current place, but it's bigger, brighter, and has a washer and dryer IN the apartment. This apartment has suited us well though, and it will go on our list of past residences we actually have fond memories of. (Not so fond, see: Philadelphia, first try.) I can't help but think that us finding this nice apartment after a much-maligned search wasn't us at all. We must've made the right decision to come if He provided us with such a nice place to live under impossible circumstances, right? That said, 2008 was a big year — a HUGE year — for us. Neither of us ever imagined last New Year's Eve that we'd be spending this one in New York (well, I guess we could've come to see the ball drop or something, but I digress). It was a big decision and big deal to come here, but I feel like since last March, time absolutely flew by and I can't believe it's 2009 already. I have to say I'm looking forward to this one. We're doing well. And I'm sure there will be bumps along the way, but I'm excited about what this next year has to offer. In New York. Here's to a happy and healthy 2009, for us and for you. Cheers.

(That's how we say cheers over here.)

I hope the move goes well and the transition is smooth. Photos of new place requested kindly.
